Trekking Toubkal: Practical Information On Reaching The Highest Peak Of Morocco
The Jbel Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa, located 63km south of Marrakech in the province of Al Haouz.
You can leave Imlil and go directly to the Neltner hut, located at the foot of Toubkal on the first day.
From the village of Imlil, several choices are available to trekking enthusiasts.
The less experienced can explore the surrounding area, while the more sporty can set off to conquer the summit in 2 to 3 days.
The ascent of Jbel Toubkal can be done by all, unlike some routes. During the ascent, trekking enthusiasts can benefit from the assistance of muleteers.
On the second day you can, climb to the top of Toubkal and at the end of the day or the next day return to Imlil.
