ABOUT KHOURIBGA
Want to discover Khouribga? There are a thousand and one ways to do so. Considered to be the most important phosphate production zone in the world, the region of Khouribga is not limited to that, it also has almost all of the advantages of a tourist destination by virtue of its countryside with lakes, mountains and forest.
This vital sector has not been developed since independence despite the potential of the province.
This mining town is not only limited to the exploitation of phosphate. On the contrary it is also known for its cultural activities such as the organisation of festivals and cultural and artistic days.
The OCP group has initiated a package of hiking tourism, outdoor activities, visits and activities of rural heritage and scientific tourism known as "Green Mine" which in 2014 covered more than 300 hectares, with a media library, cafeteria and auditorium.
An amusement park and an environmental park will later be built, as well as a set of leisure, sports, real estate and hotel facilities, all of which will be integrated into a tourist circuit, notably with the Khouribga mining museum.
These 3 tourist sectors contribute to the protection of the environment and bring deserved benefits to the local population allowing them to improve their lives.
